In the 70's & 80's Barry was a formidable Rally Cross competitor, winning many races

at venues throughout the UK and Europe. Barry gave up motorsport for years and

with his wife Norma ran a hotel in Torquay.

Still based in the west country, he now has a car dealership and races his Mitsubishi

Evo in the Castle Coombe Race Championship. 

Qualifying saw Barry take pole position by over a second in his Mitsubishi Evo IX from

David Krayem in the Ginetta G50.

Barry had a very good start and was not challenged by anyone during the race.

Barry took the win, with Tim Woodman’s Caterham 7 taking second and Chris Vinall

in third.
